Journey Into the Unknown.... Motherhood

This blog is a representation of some of my favourite memories but now this blog is going to be about my journey into the unknown... Motherhood.

When I found out I was pregnant I didnt know whether to laugh or cry. I was shocked. Shocked that it happened and terrified of what the test result meant. In 9 months Tony and I would be parents. Needless to say my emotions ran high. Telling Tony was easy... he already expected. Telling the parents was fun. We decorated cupcakes and wrote Baba, Bibi (Grandpa, Grandma) on them and took them over saying "You have to try these cupcakes they are so delicious!" The reactions were priceless and rather funny. Tony's mom was working in the shop at the time and all she could say was "I'm going to be a grandma!" As a customer approached the cash registar she held her chocolate cupcake in one hand and excitedly told a stranger our news. My dad was pretty funny too because he refused to eat the cupcake or even look at it as "cupcakes are too rich and sweet". So with a lot of coaxing he eventually looked at the cupcake reading aloud "Baba" still not understanding what it meant. It took a couple of minutes for it register the meaning behind the word. Telling the parents that they were going to have their very first grandchild was emotional and unforgettable.
